Our life has been crazy lately with Tyler being in Mexico for almost 3 weeks two different times in February, Deacon turning 1 and having a birthday party, work being crazy for me, snow/ice, and then some physical issues resurfacing for me. I feel bad for not publicly celebrating my sweet baby enough in the past months, so here goes:
Deacon, you’re 13 months old! You are walking everywhere, climbing on things, and riding your fire truck and bat mobile all by yourself! You love music and your favorite songs are I’m in the Lords army and If You’re happy and you know it. You dance to all music and even the washing machine beat. Haha! You like to turn lights and water faucets off and on and tell us “off” or “on” or “hot” or “brrrrr” for cold.
You love reading books more than anything else and pointing out the animals and making the sounds they make, although many of them growl at this point. You love learning and trying to figure things out for yourself. You brush your hair and mommys, help out with the laundry by putting clothes in washer and in dryer and in basket then helping unfold as I fold, and try to help with the cooking wanting to watch the process or do the stirring or mixing with the mixer. You help dry MOMMY’s hair, help daddy run the vacuum cleaner, and “sort”the Tupperware often.
You LOVE going outside, running in grass, picking flowers (or leaves off bushes), and riding in your wagon. Your favorite veggie is green beans. Your favorite fruits are bananas and peaches but you also love oranges and strawberries. You can eat spaghetti messier than anyone but still get full. :)). You sign the word “more” very well. And when you are done eating, you love to say “biiiiiiiiig belly” with the cutest grin on your face!!! You also say “girl”, “tree”, “juice”, “cereal”, “bottle”, “go”, “bye bye”, “get it”, and “hello” while holding phone up to your ear.
You call the Hogs everytime you see a basketball game where you also point and say “ball ball.” You also love to play catch as long as you get to throw it everytime. You’ve discovered that balloons are great fun. You love baths and even showers. You love to splash and throw things in the water. You’ve just started helping to pick up toys and books at cleanup just to turn around and get them out again. :))
You are very loving and sweet with a touch of dramatic, sassiness from time to time. You are everything we prayed for and so much more! We love you more than you will ever know and are beyond thankful that you are our baby boy!!!
